Welcome World! - now fully booked

Peterborough Cathedral
Monday 19 August 2019 19:00 - 20:30

See Gaia in all its glory on its opening night in Peterborough, witnessing the moment when the rotation of the Earth and the surrounding lights are switched on.

Families are welcome and you are invited to dress with a ‘plants, animals and insects’ theme if you would like to. There will also be face painting.

BBC Radio Cambridgeshire's Kev LawrenceThe big count down to the switching on of the earth's rotation mechanism, by Kev Lawrence, will be at around 7.30pm.

The 'Welcome World!' opening event on Monday 19th August is now fully booked, but you could still win the chance to do the actual switch-on and bring your friends or family with you for the evening! Listen to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire's Kev Lawrence Breakfast Show during the week of 12th August, particularly on Friday 16th August, to find out how.

There will be a pay bar and strawberries and cream will be on sale. Soft drinks are free of charge.

Donations in support of Peterborough Cathedral and this exhibition are invited.
