The Dean of Peterborough in consultation with the Chapter of Peterborough Cathedral is seeking to appoint a new:

Non-executive member of the Chapter (which directs and oversees the work of the Cathedral)

Expressions of interest are sought by Friday, 24th November, 2023 for this voluntary position, particularly from individuals with significant experience in leadership and governance in the charitable sector and with a keen awareness of the fundamental spiritual purposes of the Cathedral.

The past few years have seen the Cathedral make huge progress in stabilising its finances, strengthening its staff team, and renewing its governance.

Achieving Financial, Missional and Environmental sustainability are Key Goals and we seek an individual with a range of skills and experience, possibly including high level project management, to join the Chapter.

In addition we would actively welcome greater diversity on Chapter better to reflect the City and Diocese we serve.

In keeping with other members of Chapter the applicant must be either an actual communicant of the Church of England or member of a Church which is not in communion with the Church of England but subscribes to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity.

The Cathedral will shortly become a registered charity and Chapter members will be Trustees of the Cathedral.
