Goodbye Gaia!

Peterborough Cathedral
Saturday 14 September 2019 19:30 - 21:30

Music for a summer evening to celebrate the culmination of the Gaia exhibition, featuring mezzo-soprano Gabriella Pineda-Rodrigues, accompanied by pianist Kate Wishart.

Gabriella Pineda-Rodrigues began her career as a chorister in the Cathedral Choir before going on to study at Chetham's School of Music and then at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

In her repertoire for this concert will be popular songs from shows such as The Sound of Music, Les Misérables and Carousel, as well as some of the most famous operatic arias for a mezzo-soprano voice. Gabriella is an enthusiastic fan of 1960's music and will include some songs from that era, such as Moon River. There will also be the opportunity to sing along with some of the songs!

The concert will take place underneath the Gaia earth artwork and there will be an extended interval during which guests can view the exhibition for the final time. There will be a bar selling Prosecco and soft drinks.

This is the last time the exhibition will be open during the evening before it leaves Peterborough. Don’t miss it!

£12 per person. Unreserved seating.
