Cathedral at Night

Friday 10 September 2021 18:30 - 21:30

Explore the Cathedral by night with candlelight, music and guides on hand to unfold the fascinating history of this amazing place.

Cathedral musicians will play quiet piano and organ pieces as you look around and enjoy the very special atmosphere in the building 'after hours'.

At 9.00pm the traditional service of Compline will be sung by adult members of the Cathedral Choir, offering a reflective and spiritual way to end the day.

The art installation, One Small Step by Peter Walker, sculptor, will also be on view across the North and South Transepts.

This event is part of Heritage Open Days as well as the wider Cathedrals at Night programme.

Please see Peterborough Civic Society's list of other local Heritage Open Days events.

There is no need to book. Donations are invited. The evening will close after the service of Compline.
