The Cathedral will be closed to the public from 12.30pm to 2pm on Tuesday 8th May for a funeral. The 2pm Ad-hoc Guided Tour for that day has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

Welcome to our new and improved website. As well as information about services and worship you can find additional details on our heritage, choristers, events, our role in the community and updates of our plans over the coming months and years as we move towards our 900th anniversary in 2018. We have simplified the navigation so you can find the information you require faster and have added in additional features so that you can feel more involved in our community.

Peterborough cathedral is one of the UK’s top landmarks as voted in a 2007 Fujifilm users poll and is one of the finest Norman buildings surviving in Europe today. We are very proud of our Cathedral and hope that our site inspires you to come and visit us soon and see the majesty of this great Cathedral Church for yourself.

From 19 May to 24 June 2012, Peterborough Cathedral will present a major arts event. This many-faceted collaboration will offer visitors a personal quest as they walk around the Cathedral by considering how reflection, in all its different meanings, affects them.

Peterborough Theological Society - Theology and Art: A Conversation

The Peterborough Theological Society is an ecumenical society, which exists to promote theological discussion and debate for all levels of interest. We invite a wide variety of speakers, most of whom are leading authorities in their fields.

Wednesday at One Service - Crisis: changes and chances

Wednesday at One is a series of 30-minute mid-week addresses, often with a guest speaker, on topical issues including a hymn and a prayer. The service is followed by soup and a sandwich in the South Transept. This service includes a talk by Peterborough Cathedral's Artist in Residence, Susan Haire.
