The Dean and Chapter of Peterborough Cathedral take very seriously their responsibility for the safety of children and vulnerable adults in their care. All clergy, staff and regular volunteers undertake Safeguarding training. You can read our Safeguarding policy and find our Safeguarding contacts below.
This is your Cathedral and you are very welcome to be here for worship and to explore Christianity and faith more deeply. The main congregational act of worship is the Sunday Eucharist service at 10.30am.
The principal clergy at Peterborough Cathedral are the Dean and the residentiary canons. These four, and four lay people appointed by the Bishop, form the governing body or Chapter of the Cathedral. The Dean and Chapter are supported by the Cathedral staff.
As a busy and lively community, Peterborough Cathedral has numerous groups associated with it. Each reflects a particular aspect of the ongoing life of the Cathedral and those who worship and work within it.
The day to day operation of the Cathedral is supported by a large and committed volunteer team which helps out with a multitude of activities that keep the Cathedral open and welcoming to worshippers and visitors. Would you like to help?
This is where any vacancies for working at the Cathedral are advertised.
