Christmas Craft & Gift Market is Back!

Friday 17 November

Our annual Christmas Market is back on the 17th & 18th November and it's bigger and better than ever before!

Picture yourself walking around one of the finest Norman Cathedrals in the UK, the winter light pours through the centuries-old stained-glass windows, painting the golden stones in glorious colour. The lights are twinkling, the old Gurney stoves are lit and festive music fills every corner of the building. With over 100 unique stalls to browse, Peterborough Cathedral's annual Christmas Craft and Gift Market is guaranteed to be a shopping experience like no other…

Come and join us this Friday 17th & Saturday 18th November and browse wonderful and unique items from over 100 stallholders, all selling their beautiful, handcrafted goods; from soap and candles, exquisitely crafted jewellery and homewares to one-of-a-kind fine art pieces and delicious edible treats. You could even get your caricature drawn by local artist John Elson! Choosing to shop locally this Christmas will help support our local artisans, craftspeople and small businesses all of which strengthens the local economy and is an investment in our vibrant community. With so much to see, you're sure to find that unique and special gift for a loved one or friend.

Paul Stainton is the Head of Marketing and Communications at the Cathedral said:

“Ever since I arrived in Peterborough in 1989, I thought that the city deserved to have a proper Christmas Market, and now we have one. The Cathedral is the perfect setting for it and the atmosphere inside is something quite special and unique. Our aim is to build this market year on year and create an event that attracts people to the city from miles around every Christmas.”
