Joyous choral works to be performed at Cathedral, 23 March

Wednesday 13 March

Two joyous baroque masterpieces will be performed at Peterborough Cathedral on Saturday 23rd March 2019.

The concert, conducted by the Director of Music Tansy Castledine, will be performed by the Cathedral Choir, Youth Choir and Festival Chorus, with Peterborough Choral Society and Eboracum Baroque.

Dixit Dominus was composed by Handel when he was just 22 years old and this youthful and energetic piece of music is regarded as one of his finest. Likewise, Vivaldi’s Gloria in D is one of the most famous pieces of baroque music, recognised as an uplifting song of praise.

Tickets

The concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets are on sale at £20 and £15 (U18s half price). They may be booked online here or call 01733 355315 or 01733 452336.
