New message from Tim Peake at Soyuz finale event

Monday 29 October

A new video message from European Space Agency astronaut Tim Peake will feature at a special event to mark the end of the exhibition of his Soyuz Spacecraft at Peterborough Cathedral, on 5th November 2018.

The event, So Long, Soyuz!, starts at 6.30pm with sparklers in the Cathedral Cloisters, where hot dogs will be on sale. Then inside the Cathedral some classic space-themed TV episodes will be screened, including clips from The Clangers and Mr Benn, as well as Tim Peake’s video message. There will then be a final opportunity to view the exhibition, take photographs, or pose with the ‘selfie spacesuit’ before everything is packed away the following day.

Tim Peake’s Spacecraft, presented by Samsung and the Science Museum Group, will then continue on its nationwide tour. The next stop is National Museum Cardiff from  15 November 2018 to 10 February 2019, then finally to Ulster Folk & Transport Museum, Belfast from 19 February – 12 May 2019.
