The pictures have been chosen by the judges of an open competition that has been running since March 2018. Visitors to the exhibition are invited to vote for their favourite picture, and the photographers taking the most popular images will win prizes.

The competition, which is sponsored by Kall Kwik Peterborough, invited amateur photographers to submit pictures that captured the theme, Peterborough Cathedral: A Moment in Time, in an original way. In all, over 150 pictures were submitted and 23 have been selected for the exhibition.

The panel of judges included people from the fields of photography, the visual arts, the media and the Cathedral, as well as the competition sponsor, Kall Kwik. It is now up to visitors to the exhibition to vote for their favourite pictures.

Voting will close on Monday 21st January 2019 and the winners will be announced during the week of 28th January 2019. Unframed prints of photographs in the exhibition are on sale at £15 each and if orders are placed by Thursday 13th December, can be delivered in time for Christmas.

The exhibition continues until Tuesday 5th February 2019. Entry is free of charge and opening times are 10.00am to 4.00pm on Monday to Saturday, and 12 noon to 4.00pm on Sundays (please check before visiting as times will vary over the Christmas period, in addition to closure on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day).

Kall Kwik Peterborough is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and has kindly marked the occasion by supporting the Cathedral’s 900th anniversary photography competition.

In all 23 photographs are exhibited. Here is just a selection.
