Pilgrimage Visits

The Cathedral particularly welcomes visiting church groups from all over the country. Parish and Deanery groups from within the Diocese of Peterborough often find it helpful to make a pilgrimage to the mother church of the diocese.

A Visit by your Parish to the Cathedral

Through pilgrimages, the Dean and Chapter extend a warm welcome to parishioners and clergy from across the diocese who may wish to use the Cathedral as the focus of a special spiritual visit. Groups are welcome throughout the year and each visit can be suited to an individual parish's or benefice's requirements. If you would simply like to come and experience the Cathedral's spaces and services with your own priest, you may do so. Alternatively, clergy and worshippers may like to have a member of Cathedral Chapter lead a service or conduct them round a specially designed prayer trail. You may also like a tour of the Cathedral and a private space for fellowship and refreshments before or afterwards. The pilgrimage can form a focus for spiritual reflection and fellowship as part of the wider Christian journey.

The Cathedral views these visits as an important part of its work for all parishes, so please do get in touch and let us discuss how we can make your visit as special as possible.

Please complete our Pilgrimage Visits Booking Form as a first step. All visits need to be pre-booked as the Cathedral has many services and activities taking place each day and week.

We very much look forward to welcoming you and sharing fellowship soon.
