The Sixteen: The Choral Pilgrimage 2020

Peterborough Cathedral
Saturday 3 October 2020 19:30 - 21:10

Come to 'The Call of Rome' – the 20th anniversary of The Sixteen’s annual Choral Pilgrimage tour.

Since 2000, The Sixteen have travelled the length and breadth of the UK, discovering some of the country’s most beautiful architecture and building relationships with wonderful communities.

We are delighted that The Sixteen are returning to Peterborough Cathedral for this year's tour. The performance will focus on Rome, a city which has inspired countless pilgrimages, and where each of the four composers in this year’s programme created some of their finest work. Motets by Josquin and F. Anerio are framed by Victoria’s powerful Tenebrae Responsories for Holy Saturday, culminating in Allegri’s eternal Miserere.
