Tour guide, Mark Short, explores the unique artwork that is Peterborough Cathedral's nave ceiling.
Tree-ring dating of the boards on which it is painted indicate that the beautiful nave ceiling was completed around the year 1250. It is the only surviving wooden ceiling of its age in the UK.
This talk will explore the history of the ceiling and some of the remarkable medieval imagery in its decoration.
