Advent Sunday online

Sunday 29 November 2020 00:00 - 00:00

Due to lockdown all our Advent Sunday services, including a Eucharist, an Advent Carol Service and an Organ Meditation, are online. Do join us on this special Sunday.

10.30am Eucharist

Live streamed from the Cathedral

3.30pm Advent Carol Service

A pre-recorded service.

When so much is strange and unfamiliar this year, we hear the traditional music and readings in new ways.

Advent comes to us as a season of expectation, anticipation and preparation. This service will take us from expectation, through hope, to the knowledge of its fulfilment in the person of Jesus Christ. As we prepare for our celebration of Christmas and the mystery of God’s love shown us in the birth of Jesus Christ, we also hear the distinctive message of Advent: the promise that God’s Kingdom of justice and peace will come, and all shall be made well.

6.00pm Advent Organ Meditation
