With so much to see and do it is a wonderful day out for a club, coach tour, organisation or group of friends and we have welcomed everyone from the Women’s Institute to Round Table groups.

As part of your group visit, we are happy to arrange guided tours and these can be arranged outside normal opening hours if required. Guided Tours last approximately 1hr to 1hr 15 minutes and there are currently 4 types of tour in our extensive Cathedral range from historic Cathedral Tours, Tower Tours, Precinct Tours and Garden tours – there is something for everyone.
Each tour is led by a qualified Cathedral guide and arrangements can also be made for exclusive refreshments for your group in our beautiful Becket Chapel or Education Centre, although we do have our own Coffee Shop now open Monday to Friday from 10am-3pm. For more information please click here.
It is expected that all unguided groups will make a contribution to our running costs on the same basis as other visitors (£4.00/£3.00), However, there is a minimum charge for group visits. The payment for this is the responsibility of the group leader, who should report to the Welcome Desk on arrival at the Cathedral. The charge is £25 for groups up to 30, £50 for groups of 30-60 and £75 for groups of over 60.
Groups are equally welcome to bring their own guide, though the same charges apply as if you were using a Cathedral guide.

If you are a group organiser and are interested in the Cathedral but unable to arrange a visit, you could book a talk on one of several aspects of the life of the Cathedral. There is not a fixed charge for this service, but you will be invited to make an appropriate donation to the Cathedral and will be asked to pay travelling expenses for your speaker.
