Cathedral Tours: Useful Information - Pricing & Booking

Cathedral Admission:

The Cathedral does not have a fixed admission charge. We invite all visitors to make a contribution to the upkeep of this wonderful building that reflects the value of your visit here. For more useful information about opening hours, directions etc please click here.

Tour Prices:

Cathedral Tour charges per person:

Regular adhoc Tour - £7 (£3.50 concessions)
Guided Private Tour - £7 (£3.50 concessions)
Tower Tour – £10.00
Precinct Tour - £4 (£3 concessions)
Garden Tour - £3 (£2 Concessions)

Group & School Visits:

Both large group and school visits are welcome at the Cathedral. We have excellent facilities available for our larger groups. Exclusive refreshments in either the beautiful Becket Chapel or the Education Centre can be booked by calling 01733 352676 and all school visit programmes are in line with National Curriculum topics. Booking:

Individual visitors planning to just make a casual visit to our Cathedral church are welcome to discover the wonders for themselves or join one our regular adhoc Cathedral tours, for which you do not need to book.

Planned visits by small or large groups are always welcome at Peterborough Cathedral. With so much to see and do it is a wonderful day out for a club, coach tour, organisation or group of friends.

For larger groups or school visits however, it is essential to pre-arrange, as Guided Group Tours require booking in advance.

Each tour is led by a qualified Cathedral guide and arrangements can also be made for exclusive refreshments for your group in our beautiful Becket Chapel or Education Centre, although we do have our own coffee shop open from 10am-3pm. For more information please click here.

It is hoped that all unguided groups will make a contribution to our running costs on the same basis as other visitors (£4.00/£3.00), However, there is a minimum charge for group visits. For more information on Group visits please click here.

To enquire about booking any tour, please call the Education and Visitor Office on 01733 352676 or e-mail amber.homer-wooff@peterborough-cathedral.org.uk. We will make a provisional booking and send you a form to check and return to confirm your details. It is a good idea to have alternative dates in mind when phoning to make an initial booking.
