What is there to see at Peterborough Cathedral?

As well as being the final resting place of Henry VIII’s first wife, Katharine of Aragon, the Cathedral is also one of the finest Norman constructions in the whole of the UK and has a number of fascinating and breathtaking features. These include the oldest hand painted wooden ceiling of it’s size in Europe, a spectacular High Altar inspired by the Santa Maria in Rome, and a fabulous vaulted New Building, which went on to be replicated in the Kings College Chapel in Cambridge.
