Is the Cathedral free to enter?

There is no charge for admission to the Cathedral but donations are requested. The Cathedral has charitable status and funds of over £1.3 million must be raised annually to keep us in operation throughout the year.

We are not funded by the state and must raise all our own finances through our various fundraising schemes. Thus private donations from all our visitors to the Cathedral are enormously valuable and help to keep it open for all to enjoy. Please ensure you Gift Aid where possible so that we receive 28p back from the Inland Revenue for every pound we receive.
