Can we hold a wedding, funeral, christening in the Cathedral?

In certain circumstances the clergy will offer support for baptism, weddings and funerals although the Church’s ministry to folk at these important moments is primarily offered through the local parish church, and the Cathedral is not normally a venue.

Exceptions are made for regular worshippers at the Cathedral who are also on the Cathedral Roll, or who have some other genuine pastoral connection with the Cathedral.

We do however, offer venue hire for champagne and canapé receptions and even wedding breakfasts for a small party at the Cathedral, as well exclusive use of the stunning Deanery Gardens in certain circumstances.
