The Company of St. Peter - Our Events

Members of The Company of St. Peter benefit from an exclusive events programme. We have visited the magnigicent gardens at Highgrove, the home of The Prince of Wales. We have also been lucky enough to have lunch in the Officers Mess at RAF Wittering, followed by a tour and the chance to sit in a Harrier Jet. More recently some members have been to the Chelsea Flower Show with the Company and also Deene Park and Althorp, stately homes in Northamptonshire.

These events are not free of charge but are exclusive to Company of St. Peter members. We try and ensure that the trips are made all the more special by organising something for the group that could not be arranged as individuals. At the Chelsea Flower Show the members were welcomed by the RHS Shows Director and given a free programme to help guide them around the vast show, and to commemorate the trip.

There are roughly five or six trips a year and details of the highlights of 2009 are listed below (the programme for 2010 will shortly be available, so please check back here soon or call Anna Shaw on 01733 355315 for more information).

Highlights of 2009

October

16/10/09 - 80 people attended The Company Annual Dinner in the New Building of the Cathedral

November

29/11/09 - Members of The Company of St. Peter enjoyed special invitation to the The Advent Procession preceded by a VIP drinks reception hosted by the Dean to thank members for their support.

December

04/12/09 - A large group of Company of St. Peter members enjoyed a festive trip to Lincoln Cathedral and shopping at the Christmas Market

Other events in 2009 included a fascinating trip to The Chelsea Flower Show and an outing to Rutland Open Air Theatre to see a Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Current Company of St. Peter members will be sent details of 2010 events in due course but for all other enquiries please contact Anna Shaw on 01733 355315.
