The song composed by Chris Russell and George Owens was performed at the West Front of the Cathedral as the Olympic Torch came through the Norman Arch and across the Precincts.

Tuesday evening saw crowds gather to see school children from across Peterborough together with the Peterborough Male Voice Choir and others perform the song outside the Cathedral. Fifty drummers, dancers and 3 lead vocalists together with other musicians made this a special performance.

This was the second performance of the song, the first was at the Embankment which marked the start of the Olympic festivities. The final performance was early this morning in Cathedral Square to mark the torch leaving the City.

The Voyager Academy in partnership with Vivacity and Peterborough City Council commissioned the song to celebrate the torch entering the city. The song was orchestrated by Simon Allen together with the Voyager Academy.
