One of our popular educational opportunities for schools is the our Cathedral Tudor Days, which take place in July each year.
Based both inside the Cathedral and out in the Cloisters, teachers and children get to dress up, play games, engage in 16th century crafts and dine like the Tudors did. They can also meet contemporary characters like John Chambers, Abbot of Peterborough and Robert Scarlett, local character and grave digger - all in a building that retains many of the features that it had when Katharine of Aragon was buried, or Cardinal Wolsey celebrated the Easter festival here.
As the final resting place of the first wife of Henry VIII, the Cathedral is the perfect place to spend a day learning more about aspects of Tudor life.
