Peterborough Cathedral is the perfect choice for a school visit and has something to offer on every level, focusing on different aspects of the history and heritage of the magnificent building and offering activities which support work in literacy and numeracy as well as directed investigations in almost all the National Curricultum subjects including:

Teachers are able to make preliminary visits free of charge. Tours and activities can be tailored to meet your requirements and our Education Centre can be made available for on-site investigations and activities.
A sample programme for a day at the Cathedral:
10.00am Arrival and Welcome – guided tour of the Cathedral Church
11.15am Activities in Education Centre and Cathedral with Education Officer
“Materials” and “Can buildings speak?”
12.30 pm Lunch in the Education Centre
1.15pm ‘Hunt the Symbol’ and/or group time in the Cathedral
2.15pm Depart
