Black Dyke Band comes to Peterborough
to accompany the Cathedral Choir and Festival Chorus in a performance of
Handel’s Messiah, following the band’s recording of the piece with the Halifax
Choral Society. If you haven’t heard the combination of a world-class brass
band and choir before you are in for a wonderful evening of unique and
Dyke is the most recorded brass band in the world with over 300 recordings and
growing every year. It is also the most successful contesting band in the world,
having won the European Championships eleven times, the British Open no fewer
than 29 times and the National Championships of Great Britain 22 times.
