Historic Cathedral Tours

We welcome every visitor and you are invited to follow our Guide Book, explore the ‘Story of the Abbey’ exhibition and learn more about the Cathedral using our interactive screens.

For general visitors, there are tours throughout the year, which take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Satursdays at 2.00pm, and on Wednesday’s when they are at 11.30am. There here are no tours on Sundays. There is no need to book in advance for these tours.

Larger groups are asked to book a tour in advance and these can then be arranged at a time to suit you, including evenings. For group visits, refreshments ranging from coffee or tea to a buffet lunch can be arranged.

Both general and group tours are priced at £7.00 per person (£5.00 concessions) and are led by trained Cathedral guides.

The tours last roughly an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes and provide a fascinating insight into the development of the building, highlighting the key points of religious, architectural and historical interest, as well as accounts of the many stories and legends associated with the Cathedral and the continuing use of the building today.

For further information about tours or to book, please contact Amber Homer-Wooff, by calling 01733 355300 or e-mailing amber.homer-wooff@peterborough-cathedral.org.uk.
