Fundraising campaign

The Peterborough Cathedral Development and Preservation Trust is undertaking the campaign to secure £10 million to fund Peterborough 900.

The campaign is under the leadership of both the Trust Chairman, Simon Schanschieff OBE DL JP and the Dean of Peterborough, The Very Revd Charles Taylor supported by six Trustees who form the Campaign Executive Committee. This is a capital Funding Campaign with opportunities for dedicated or commemorative gifts, together with appropriate and enduring naming options.

There will be three distinct but related cycles of fundraising activity:

  1. 2011-2012: Capital Campaign to raise £5 million in investment for the three capital projects.
  2. 2013-2017: Planned Giving Campaign to secure £5 million in cash and legacy gifts for the longterm endowment funding.
  3. Throughout 2018: Public Appeal to encourage community gifts and building the public profile of the Cathedral in the lead-up to and during the 900th Anniversary celebrations.
