We have a well-equipped Education Centre onsite that is available for use during school visits. The Educaiton Officer can provide a range of activites here that either add a further dimension to the experience of a guided tour or introduce a different aspect of the Cathedral’s life and heritage. With its own courtyard and cloakroom facilities this offers a safe learning environment for a variety of groups. It is also availabe just for lunch (at a small extra charge) for groups booking a tour of the Cathedral.
The Education Centre is a converted ladder store (circa 1955) with windows overlooking a herb garden planted with a small selection of the plants that would have been grown by the medieval Infirmarer
The venue is a very bright and flexible building offering a practical space for less formal functions, workshops or activities. This has proved a popular venue for use by local businesses for training and boardroom style meetings and can hold up to 35 for theatre style presentations and discussions.
