Cathedral Choir auditions

We hold auditions annually in the autumn term for children in year 2 to join the Cathedral Choir.

When parents register interest we send them a detailed information pack which explains the audition process. This includes the singing of a simple prepared piece, tests of range and vocal sound, aural tests (getting them to reproduce sounds played or sung to them in various ways) and a reading test. We are looking for alertness, attention, enthusiasm, and musical potential rather than a finished product, and aim to test aptitude and adaptability as well as current ability.
