Adult Learning Opportunities

It is not just children who can benefit from the abundance of wonderful learning resources available here. We also offer a number of options for encouraging adult learning both informally and more formally.

With everything from our fascinating Story of the Abbey exhibition to specially arranged access to our Cathedral Archives, there are countless opportunities to discover something of the history, life and mission of the Cathedral either on our Cathedral Tours, by becoming a Cathedral Guide or taking part in a Religious Course.

In addition to our more structured resources for learning, we also have a number of Cathedral Groups and Associations that encourage the development of new skills. From Bell Ringing to the Flower Guild, the Voluntary Choir and our Prayer and Study Groups, you can find more information on our more informal learning opportunities by visiting our Get Involved section within this site.

Below you will find links to more information about the more specific areas of learning available throughout the year, but as a growing and thriving venue for music and the arts, there are also a number of more temporary exhibitions, talks, performances and events that also offer the opportunity to discover something new. Please visit our Events Calendar to find out more about what is coming up.
