The Friends are a body of people worldwide who, through their interest in heritage, support the Chapter in maintaining and enhancing the life of the Cathedral and its Precincts, for present and future generations.

Since their foundation in 1927, the Friends have funded a wide range of projects which have included:

• Repairs to the Great West Window
• Re-siting of the Treasury
• Cassocks for the Girls’ Choir
• Repairs to the Tesserae Pavement
• Provision of a Hearing Loop
• Refurbishment of Almoner’s Hall

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

As a ‘Friend’ you will:

• Receive the fully illustrated Annual Journal, free of charge.  This contains a wide range of articles about the history and ongoing work of the Cathedral.
• Keep in touch with the Cathedral, and receive advance notice of forthcoming events.
